The molecular beam instrument(85k, 2nd window) includes two nanosecond dye lasers for selective excitation-ionization experiments, a TOF mass spectrometer, and fluorescence detection system with a CCD camera. Investigations in the MALDI plume can be carried out with the same lasers in the same or a neighboring instrument. The candidate would ideally have
experience in at least one of the following: photochemistry
of small aromatics, molecular beams, or laser spectroscopy.
